6 months old!

My baby is 6 month's old, he is growing up WAY too fast! What can I say about this little guy?! Well, getting to know Wesley has been so much fun. He is very expressive as you can see below. He is always making funny faces that keep us laughing. A couple things that we absolutely love about Wesley are his smile, hyper personality, and expressiveness. His newest discovery is his lips. He mostly puckers them up and then spits everywhere. It's pretty funny.....until I try feeding him his cereal. I put a bite in and he spits it out and he ALWAYS laughs, stinker. He is the center of our world and we love him SO much:)

Wesley's First Camping Trip

A couple of weeks ago we took Wesley on his first camping trip. We went out to Antelope Island with my dad, Todd, and Melanie and Aaron. This was our favorite picture of Wesley from the trip.

The biting gnats were really bad so we bought this net to protect Wesley as much as we could. It worked quite well, he only got four small bites while Daddy got at least 30 on his legs alone.

As usual, we forgot to bring roasting sticks and had to improvise. My stick broke twice causing the hot dog to fall in the ashes each time (both hot dogs were retrieved and eaten).

One of the highlights was watching these three bison come right down into the camp next to us. The eleven year old scouts and their leaders ran up into the bed of the truck to keep a safe distance.

Mommy and son enjoying a cool evening and the bison and sunset shows. The singing meadowlarks were also great.

Here's Wesley being a tough guy at 5:30 in the morning, another great shot.

He had a great time sleeping on the air mattress in between his parents. It was the best night of sleep he's ever had.

We also went on Wesley's first hike partway up Drary Peak, which is the tallest on the island. The heat and the gnats got to us, so we didn't make it as far as we wanted.

We had a really great time on the island. The lake, the green hills, and the snow-capped mountains were beautiful.

Three generations of hikers having a great time on the trail. Wesley was really roughing it with his pacifier and bib. I guess we will have to toughen him up bit by bit.

We had such a great time at Antelope Island that we hope to go back this summer. Would you like to join us?
